Application Process Questions
What is the application deadline?
Applications are due by 12:00am on February 10th.
When will I hear back for my application?
You will hear back from the team to confirm the receipt of your application within 24h. The builder selections will be finalized by 12:00am on February 17th.
Should I apply individually, or as a team?
You can apply both individually or as a team! If you apply as a team, please note your team name and other team members on the application.
What are you looking for in the application?
We are looking for the world's best builders. You must be exceptional in some way. You should have won at least one qualifying hackathon to participate.
How many builders/teams will be selected?
We will be looking to select a total of 40 builders to form between 10-15 teams.
What are HumanX qualifying events?
HumanX qualifying events include global buildathons, retreats, and other qualifying hackathon events organized or partnered through the Inception Studio team.
What do I get by winning a qualifying event?
Qualifying event winners will get an opportunity for consideration to join highly exclusive events such as the Inception Studio Buildathon at HumanX, with opportunities to showcase themselves on a global stage.
Who will be at HumanX?
Join 4,000+ other attendees building new partnerships and connections through 1:1 networking opportunities, startup pitch presentations, and meetings with key solutions providers and sponsors.
What is the judging process?
Builders will be judged based on both their technical and entrepreneurial product, pitch, and presentation.
Is there a prize for winning?
Three lucky winners of the Inception Studio Buildathon at HumanX will pitch on the main stage of the conference in front of thousands of top industry experts, investors and media.
Can I bring additional teammates who did not apply?
You can bring additional teammates, but please include their details in your application (or have them apply themselves!). We are only able to give free conference passes to the 40 builders we select.

Do I have to pay for travel and lodging?
Yes, you will need to cover your own travel to and from the event, plus your own lodging. There are many hotel options nearby at a variety of price points.
Will meals and snacks be provided?
Yes, meals and snacks will be provided for all builders.
Do I need to bring my own laptop?
Yes, you will need to bring your own laptop to the event.
Will there be Wi-Fi?
Yes, there will be public Wi-Fi at the venue.
Do I have to be there in-person and for the entire duration of the Buildathon?
Yes, you will need to be there in-person for the duration of the Buildathon.
Is there a dress code? Or any special events that I need to dress for?
No, there is no dress code. However, we do recommend that you dress smartly since there is a possibility that you will need to present on stage at the conference.
What are the hours of operations for the venue?
The venue is open 24 h a day.
